About Patrick
Patrick is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the state of North Carolina. He is a Clinical Supervisor at Jung Tao School, assisting students in diagnosis and treatment plans. Patrick has lectured around the world about Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, health & wellness.
Patrick received a 4-year medical training in acupuncture at Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, Sugar Grove, North Carolina. There he studied in the lineage of one of the world?s great masters of acupuncture, Nguyen Van Nghi. Also at Jung Tao, Patrick spent three years learning Yang style Tai Ji Chuan, according to Zheng Man Ching. During these studies into acupuncture & tai ji, Patrick worked at the Chinese Acupuncture & Herbology Clinic in Asheville, North Carolina, where he deepened his skills and understanding in acupuncture, herbology, nutrition, various adjunctive techniques including tui na, and was exposed to the teachings of Jeffrey Yuen, a Daoist priest.
Previously, in college, Patrick pursued the Chinese language, which he went on to study for three years. During this period he traveled to China on two occasions, developing an ability to write and converse in Chinese.
Patrick's experience and success as a practitioner has included the treatment of pain, stress management, digestive disorders, skin conditions, sleeping problems, addiction, women's issues, respiratory disease, and neurological conditions among others.
